CenterPieces Reading: "Filling Empty Space" by Sean Abley

The CenterPieces Reading Series is a joint venture by Mill Mountain Theatre and the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins to bring new plays and new audiences together over lunch. In Filling Empty Space, 11 people in a room without windows or doors have no idea how they got there. Lights flash. One disappears. Another flash, another person vanishes. As the group grows smaller, their questions grow larger. Why are they there? Where are they going? Is this the end or the beginning? Are the answers real or only a matter of faith?
