DESCRIPTION:The cities of Roanoke and Salem\, the town of Vinton and the county of Roanoke with the Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the Association of the United States Army are organizing a visit of the Vietnam Mobile Wall.  The purpose is to thank and honor the Vietnam-era veterans and their families.  The Wall will be open to the public on the front campus of the Salem VA Medical Center following the opening ceremony at 6:30 pm Wednesday\, 16 September until the closing ceremony 6pm Sunday\, 20 September.  Sponsors of this commemoration of the Vietnam 50th anniversary are Salem VA Credit Union (Platinum)\; Carilion Clinic and DAV (Gold)\, Blue Ridge Veterans Celebration\, Vietnam Veterans of America Roanoke Chapter 81\, Source4 and W.S. Connelly & Co (Silver) and Blue Ridge Beverage\, SW Virginia Chapter/Military Officers Association of America\, Roanoke Elks Lodge 197 and Evergreen Memorial Trust (Bronze).  Special thanks to our in kind sponsors:  Kroger\, Coca-Cola Bottling Co Consolidated\, and Hampton Inn Salem. \n\n--Organizations are needed to volunteer to assist with visitors 24 hours daily.
